Raised in Oakville, Ontario and a graduate of Appleby College and Wilfred Laurier University, Ryan grew up under the tutelage and development program of Ben Kern at the National Golf Club as a junior and intermediate. During university he was a member of the varsity golf and ice hockey teams on scholarship competing in the CIAU Championships for both sports. A Canadian PGA Member since 2001 as a Teaching Professional, founded the golf academy at Uplands Golf Course in Victoria B.C. while gaining playing experience on the Canadian & Ben Hogan Tours.

Conor is a graduate of Charleston Southern University where he played NCAA Division 1 golf. Conor entered the teaching profession after understudying Sean Foley for 5 seasons. Conor's ability to empower the learner and create an environment where the student is able to self-discover is central to his teaching success. Conor works with a wide range of clients ranging from the weekend enthusiast to those whose lives revolve around the process of becoming champions of this sport. A certified Swinglink Fitness Instructor, Conor also competes regionally on the Great Lakes Tour and has a passion for
understanding the psychological component to playing one's best.

Matt Daniels comes to the Pipers golf academy with over 10 years of experience in the golf industry. Matt has worked with some of Canada’s top golf instructors and has incorporated that knowledge into his own teaching philosophy. Matt’s continued education into the teaching of the golf swing has benefited not only himself, but his students as well. He is passionate about growing the game of golf and feels that by introducing juniors to the game will only benefit us all. Matt’s teaching style is catered to his students. With the help
of Different Strokes (learning style assessment tool) Matt can receive customized advice on how to best communicate concepts and techniques with all his students. is is all done with a simple 20-question survey, which allows him to tailor his coaching style to t each individual student.

Annie will be specializing in primarily female golfer oriented lesson programs at the Academy and will be building the 2009 Golf for Girl’s Club. She has experience teaching all levels of play. An experienced Div 1 - NCAA Scholarship athlete and professional touring player. She is hoping to be a mentor to aspiring young females to pursue the opportunities they have available to them through golf.

Ernie’s love for the game of golf and its history began at the early age of 5, which has fostered his passion for teaching. He has since enthusiastically dedicated himself to instruction of the golf swing. For the past 10 years, Ernie has studied under some of the country’s most reputable teachers, including Tom Jackson and
Sean Foley. His professional experience and development training, combined with his personality, communicative skills, and in depth knowledge of the golf swing, has resulted in a successful track record with amateurs and aspiring professionals and is further evidenced by his popularity in the membership and loyalty of his students. Ernie actively encourages his students to take ‘ownership’ of their own improvement. With his unique, personal approach to instruction, and his continued focus on the importance of practice, he combines ‘Cause and Affect’ analogies with physical/hands-on examples to promote a positive learning environment for his students, while re-enforcing a shared accountability for the their success.
